Lorenzo Boni (* 1967 in Mestre , Italy ) is an Italian designer .

After graduating in architecture from the Venice Art Academy , he took up the profession of advertising illustrator and drew comics for the Jam City publishing house in Treviso .

In 1991 he worked with the architecture studio Caprioglio from Venice . After a few years he became product manager at Magis, where he developed projects for Richard Sapper , Jean-Marie Massaud , Stefano Giovannoni , Jasper Morrison , Marc Newson , Enzo Mari and Charlotte Perriand , among others . He designed for Birillo von Alessi , Betty Boop and Folio .

From the end of the 1990s to 2005 he worked with Philippe Starck in Paris to jointly develop ideas and projects for design brands Cassina , Driade, Emeco , Flos, Jean-Paul Gaultier , Kartell, Maclaren-baby , Princess, 7-Eleven , Vitra and XO. Until 2007 he designed the seating collections Very Wien and Sacher as well as the armchair My Fair Lady for CUMIN; most recently he developed the Gloria seating collection for Effezeta. In the same year he became the creative director of Proformitalia and created the Tape chair, the Zocca's armchair, the Xbox chest of drawers, the Spritz bar table and the ´54 Table. In 2008 he developed the new Coray seating collection for Proformitalia, which is based on the original project by the Swiss architect Hans Coray , a work that has been permanently integrated into the MAK collection in Vienna.
