Loreto is a Filipino municipality in the north of the Dinagat Islands province .
It has 9,309 inhabitants (August 1, 2015 census). Loreto is one of seven municipalities on the island of Dinagat .
The island of Hibuson in the northwest is part of the municipality. In the south lies the neighboring municipality of Tubajon .
