Lorraine Mary Moller (born June 1, 1955 in Putaruru ) is a former New Zealand middle and long-distance runner and Olympic third.

Moller walked barefoot on grass floors in New Zealand from childhood. She didn't buy her first pair of running shoes until she was a teenager, when she started taking part in running competitions. She first studied at the University of Dunedin and became a physical education teacher, but in 1978 she decided to move to the USA and devote herself entirely to running. In 1980 she won the AVON International Marathon in London (the unofficial world championship for women at the time), a race in which she won twice more (1982 in San Francisco and 1984 at the last event in Paris ). She also won the Osaka Women's Marathon in 1986, 1987 and 1989.

At the 1982 Commonwealth Games she won the bronze medal in the 1500 and 3000 meter races , and at the 1986 Commonwealth Games she won the silver medal in the marathon with her best time of 2:28:17.

Since the women's marathon was accepted into the Olympic Games, she has participated in it continuously from 1984 to 1996, and she is the only woman to have completed four Olympic marathons (as of 2004). At the 1992 Olympic Games in Barcelona she won the bronze medal behind Valentina Jegorowa and Yūko Arimori .

Lorraine Moller is 1.74 m tall and weighed 58 kg when she competed. She is married with one daughter and lives in Boulder, Colorado , where she works as a trainer.
