Lotar Schleener

Lotar Schleener (born June 20, 1927 - August 20, 2014 ) was a German table tennis player . He was GDR champion in doubles.

Schleener played for the Lok Stendal club . Its table tennis department was transferred to today's association TTC Lok Altmark Stendal, to which Schleener belonged to the end. In 1950 and 1951 he won the state championship of Saxony-Anhalt. In 1954 he was GDR champion in doubles with Günter Matthias . A year later he came third in singles and doubles with Hans Täger .

Later he achieved several successes in senior tournaments. He won five titles at the North German Senior Championships:

  • 1993: Over 60 singles
  • 2000: 70+ singles
  • 2004: Over 75 doubles with Kurt Kühne and mixed with Ursula Kareseit
  • 2008: Over 80 doubles with Heinz Schnegulau
