Lothar Schenk

Lothar Schenk (born March 24, 1942 in the Sudetenland ) is a German lawyer.

Career

After at the University of Freiburg and at the University of Erlangen-Nuremberg completed jurisprudential study concluded Schenk his legal training in 1968 successfully with the second state examination. A job that was then taken up as an independent lawyer in Bamberg was followed in 1972 by an activity in the Bavarian social justice system . His professional career led through the Augsburg Social Court in 1981 to the Bavarian State Social Court . As part of a delegation Schenk was then from January 1991 to July 1992 at the Saxon State Ministry of Social Affairs, Health and Family operates. His appointment as judge at the Federal Social Court on July 28, 1992 was initially followed by his judicial work in the 4th Senate, where he dealt with the topic of employee pension insurance . Further stations were the 5th Senate and the 8th Senate. While the former dealt with the legal disputes over the pension insurance of the workers , Schenk in the 8th Senate was confronted with the legal problems of the miners' insurance and the accident insurance for the mining industry . Since July 1, 2002, he has held the deputy chairmanship of that Senate. On September 1, 2005, Schenk retired.
