Lothar Weinmiller

Lothar Maria Weinmiller (born February 25, 1897 in Schrobenhausen , † November 24, 1941 in Artemowsk in the Donets Basin ) was a German poultry breeding scientist.

Life

After the First World War , Lothar Weinmiller studied agriculture at the Technical University of Munich and the Agricultural University of Berlin . In 1919 he became a member of the Corps Agronomia Munich and in 1921 the Corps Saxonia at the Agricultural University of Berlin. After completing his studies and doctorate as Dr. phil. he first became an agricultural councilor and later head of the district poultry breeding establishment in Erding . He also taught poultry farming as a lecturer at the Technical University of Munich. Weinmiller was an internationally recognized specialist in poultry farming. In 1929 he was a member of the German study commission on the state of poultry farming in the United States and Canada. He was a member of the Council of the World's Poultry Science Association (WPSA). In 1941 he died as a captain in the Donets Basin.
