Lothar and the Hand People

Lothar and the Hand People was an American psychedelic rock band that existed from 1965 to 1970. She is best known as one of the first bands to use theremin and synthesizer as instruments on stage.

Band history

Founded in Denver , the band moved to New York in 1966 . She has performed with well-known groups such as The Byrds , Grateful Dead , Canned Heat , The Lovin 'Spoonful and the Chambers Brothers . She jammed with Jimi Hendrix and contributed music to Sam Shepard's play The Unseen Hand . She played as the opening act at the Atlantic City Pop Festival .

However, the commercial success of their singles and albums fell short of expectations. So the group broke up after five years. The Chemical Brothers covered their song It Comes on Anyhow in 1997 .
