Notes about the festival
Crosby, Stills & Nash were originally on the program, but canceled due to an illness of Graham Nash ; two weeks later, however, they performed in Woodstock. In Atlantic City, they were replaced at the last minute by the Chambers Brothers .
Moody blues were also announced and then did not appear.
Johnny Winter was present but was unable to play due to technical problems. Little Richard performed instead and invited the audience to dance on stage.
Joni Mitchell left the stage angrily because she was supposedly not being listened to.
The revolving stage of the festival, which allowed a quick succession of performances, was designed by Buckminster Fuller .
