Lotta & the great expectations is a German TV film by Edzard Onneken from 2012 . It is the second episode of the ZDF film series Lotta with Josefine Preuss in the title role. The television series is based on the book The Last Things by Annegret Held .

Lotta now thinks she has found her place in life after she decided to train as a geriatric nurse. After completing her apprenticeship, she would like to go back to work at "Haus Abendroth", but it is about to close. Lotta also fears that she could be pregnant. Will Lotta manage to deal with this responsibility?
