content
The focus of this film series is the chaotic and impulsive Charlotte "Lotta" Brinkhammer. The story begins when Lotta is 20 years old. At this point she has not yet learned anything professionally and has not completed an internship. She wants to take acting classes in New York and asks her father to pay for the lessons. Out of defiance, she finally helps out for six weeks in the Haus Abendrot retirement home, where she ultimately likes it. She really enjoys working with the residents, only with the management of the home she has her difficulties. Lotta has discovered care for the elderly as a profession. She studied in Halle (Saale) for a while, but then returned to Berlin. She has a daughter named Lilo, who came into being through a one-night stand with Lukas.
