Lotte Rysanek
Lotte Rysanek (born March 18, 1924 in Vienna ; † December 14, 2016 there ) was an Austrian opera singer ( soprano ). She was the sister of Leonie Rysanek .
Life
Rysanek was taught by Rudolf Grossmann at the Vienna Conservatory. In 1950 she made her debut in Klagenfurt in the Massenet opera as “Manon”. From 1955 to 1987 she sang at the Vienna State Opera ; she was also known as an operetta and concert singer. She appeared at the Bayreuth Festival as the fifth flower girl in Parsifal in 1957 and at the side of her sister in 1958 as “Helmwige” in Die Walküre .
She was buried in the Hietzinger Friedhof (group 68, row 7, number 7) in Vienna in an honorary grave .
