Louis Ammy Blanc (born August 9, 1810 in Berlin , † April 7, 1885 in Düsseldorf ) was a German painter and architect .

Life

Blanc was trained as a painter at the Academy in Berlin from 1829 and went to Düsseldorf in 1833, where he became a student of Julius Hübner and later opened his own studio.

In addition to portraits, Blanc painted genre pictures that met the taste of the Biedermeier period and were very popular.
