Louis Carey Camilleri (* 1955 in Alexandria , Egypt ) is a British - American manager . He has been CEO of the Italian automotive company Ferrari since the end of July 2018 .
Life
Camilleri was born to Maltese parents with Italian roots in Alexandria, Egypt.
He studied economics at the HEC Lausanne , which he finished in 1976. After completing his studies, he initially worked for WR Grace and Company as a business analyst. In 1978 Camilleri moved to Philip Morris International . In 2006 Camilleri became CEO of the US company Philip Morris International. After the health-related resignation of Ferrari boss Sergio Marchionne , Camilleri took over his position.
Camilleri is divorced and has three children.
