Louis Faurer (born August 28, 1916 in Philadelphia , USA , † March 2, 2001 in Manhattan , New York , NY ) was an American photographer .
Life
Louis Faurer is an important representative of American post-war photography. He looked for his motifs in everyday life and photographed people on the streets of Philadelphia and New York. He enjoyed working in Times Square, the bustling entertainment center with its many cinemas, theaters and restaurants.
