Louis François Clairville
Louis François Clairville (born January 28, 1811 in Lyon , † February 7, 1879 in Paris ), actually Louis François Nicolaie , was a French playwright and librettist .
Life
His works can all be assigned to the vaudeville and contain numerous allusions , parodies , puns and couplets . In nineteenth-century reference works, Clairville is referred to as the "model of the Berlin bosom poets " .
Clairsville wrote among other things the libretti for operettas Daphnis et Chloe by Jacques Offenbach and La fille de Madame Angot (German: Mademoiselle Angot, the daughter of the hall ) by Charles Lecocq and Feerien as Les sept châteaux du diable , Cendrillon and La lanterne magique.
