Louis Philippe Robert d'Orléans, duc d'Orléans (first name: Philippe ) (born February 6, 1869 in Twickenham , † March 28, 1926 in Palermo ) was a French nobleman and member of the House of Orléans .

Life

Louis Philippe Robert d'Orléans was the son of Louis Philippe Albert d'Orléans, comte de Paris and his wife Maria Isabella d'Orléans-Montpensier and great-grandson of the last French king Louis-Philippe .

He was Philip VIII pretender to the French throne and was considered by the supporters of the House of Orléans-Bourbon as the rightful successor to King Louis-Philip.

Philippe married the Archduchess Maria Dorothea of ​​Austria on November 5, 1896 in Vienna (born June 14, 1867 - April 6, 1932), a great-granddaughter of Emperor Leopold II of Austria . This marriage remained childless.
