Louis Welsch

Louis Welsch (born April 14, 1914 in Mönchsberg ; † May 8, 1998 ) was a German politician ( SPD ).

Welsch attended elementary school and secondary school in Sonneberg , which he left with secondary school leaving certificate. This was followed by an agricultural technical college training in Oberlind and Jena - Zwätze , the practical work took place in a number of larger farms as well as in the regional animal breeding control service. In 1936 he started as a self-employed farmer. During the Second World War he was active in the military and was able to successfully escape from his Czech-Soviet captivity . In 1945 he began a number of professional and municipal honorary positions, he was also a promoter of cultural and sports life. For the SPD he sat for a few years on the city council of Ludwigsstadt , where he was elected first mayor in 1960, as well as in the district council of the Kronach district . He was confirmed twice in the office of mayor. He was also a member of the administrative board of the Kreissparkasse Ludwigsstadt . In 1966 he was elected to the Bavarian state parliament. In 1970 the re-election failed, but in 1972 he moved into parliament for Richard Müller, who had left the country. In 1974 he left the state parliament as he was no longer running for a mandate.
