Louis de Guiringaud

Louis de Guiringaud (born October 12, 1911 in Limoges , † April 15, 1982 in Castelsarrasin ) was a French politician and diplomat .

After a career as a diplomat for France (especially at the United Nations and as the French ambassador to Ghana from 1957 to 1961), de Guiringaud was Foreign Minister of the Fifth French Republic under Prime Minister Raymond Barre from August 27, 1976 to November 29, 1978 .

On April 15, 1982, he killed himself with a hunting rifle .
