Simon Lount

Simon Lount (born September 18, 1981 ) is a New Zealand soccer assistant referee.

Lount has been playing international games since 2012.

Lount's first major tournament was the 2015 U-20 World Cup , where he played two games together with Tevita Makasini from Tonga and referee Matthew Conger . At the 2016 Summer Olympics in Rio de Janeiro, Conger, Lount and Makasini also directed soccer games. In 2017 Lount was in action with Conger and Makasini at the 2017 Club World Cup in the United Arab Emirates . They also led two games at the 2017 U-20 World Cup in South Korea .

At the beginning of 2018, Matthew Conger and his assistants Simon Lount and Tevita Makasini were nominated as one of 36 referee teams for the 2018 World Cup in Russia .
