Lovis H. Lorenz

Lovis Hans Lorenz (born February 16, 1898 in Hamburg ; † June 19, 1976 there ) was a German journalist , art historian , publisher and author .

Life

Before the Second World War, Lorenz had a doctorate in art history and among other things worked as editor-in-chief of a magazine in Berlin. Together with the lawyer Gerd Bucerius , the municipal building officer a. D. Richard Tüngel and the publisher Ewald Schmidt di Simoni , Lorenz was the first editor of the weekly newspaper Die Zeit . As a writer, he wrote several works. Lovis Hans Lorenz lived in Hamburg.
