José Luís da Cruz Vidigal (born March 15, 1973 in Sá da Bandeira ) is a former Portuguese football player and played on the position of midfielder. In 2000 he won the Portuguese championship with Sporting Lisbon .

Career

Vidigal started his career with the then Portuguese first division club GD Estoril . After one season, he moved to the traditional Portuguese club Sporting Lisbon and was used here regularly. In its last season (1999/2000) with Sporting Lisbon, the club won the championship title and the Portuguese Super Cup . Despite these successes, Vidigal then moved to SSC Napoli . In this club he was initially hardly used in Serie A and at the end of the season, the Neapolitans occupied a relegation place. In the following season in Serie B , Vidigal matured into a regular player. 2004/05 Vidigal moved to Serie A for AS Livorno , where he was part of the regular formation. After a brief stint at Udinese Calcio in the 2005/06 season, he moved back to AS Livorno. In 2008 he left this club and moved to Portugal to Estrela Amadora . There he ended his career a year later.

Vidigal played a total of 15 international matches for Portugal and was a regular at EURO 2000 .
