The small settlement is located in Loferer Land in the Pinzgauer Saalachtal in the Salzburger Land. The place can only be reached via a road connection via straw wool. Driving and hiking trails lead into the surrounding region, for example to the Berchtesgaden National Park and the Steinernes Meer .
