Luíz Antônio dos Santos

Luíz Antônio dos Santos (born April 6, 1964 in Volta Redonda ) is a former Brazilian marathon runner .

In 1993 and 1994 he won the Chicago Marathon . At the World Athletics Championships in 1995 , he won the bronze medal behind Martín Fiz (ESP) and Dionicio Cerón (MEX). In the same year he won the Fukuoka Marathon with the Brazilian record of 2:09:30. At the 1996 Olympic Games , he finished tenth.

His best time of 2:08:55 was placed sixth in the Rotterdam Marathon in 1997 .
