Luíz Filho Jairo (born November 25, 1971 ), called Jairo , is a former Brazilian soccer player who plays in midfield preferably as an attacking midfielder .

Career

Jairo began his career at the lower-class Brazilian club Brusque FC before moving to the Swiss second division club FC Wil in the summer of 1997 . After playing for a year at FC Wil and scoring nine goals in twenty games, Jairo moved to the first division club FC St. Gallen for the 98/99 season , where he was able to establish himself as a regular in midfield. In the 1999/00 championship season he was a key player on the team with eight goals in thirty-three games. When Heinz Peischl came to FC St. Gallen as a coach , he was transferred to the second team of FC St. Gallen. Shortly before the contract expired in the summer of 2003, the suspension was lifted and Jairo thrilled with his goals. FC St. Gallen therefore tried to extend its contract, but could not raise the financial resources. Therefore Jairo signed a contract with a Brazilian club ( CA Hermann Aichinger ). Before it was used, however, FC St. Gallen still raised enough money to keep it. Jairo then continued to play until he had to end his career in October 2004 for family reasons. He returned to Brazil, where he lives again with his family and continued to play football there. He played for CA Hermann Aichinger from the end of 2004 to December 2005.
