Heinz Peischl (* 9. December 1963 in Ollersdorf im Burgenland ) is a former Austrian football - national team . He experienced the high point of his football career at FC Swarovski Tirol , with whom he was twice Austrian champion. The former midfielder is now active as a football coach.
Career
Player career
Heinz Peischl learned the soccer game in his home town at SV Ollersdorf , and he played his first Bundesliga games from 1982 for the oldest club in Burgenland, SC Eisenstadt . After good performance in Eisenstadt, he came to SSW Innsbruck in 1985 , where he was able to win the Austrian championship title in 1989 and 1990 with the club, which is now playing as FC Swarovski Tirol , under coach Ernst Happel . In 1989 the midfielder was also in the ÖFB Cup winning team of Innsbruck, which won the third attempt in the final in 1989 against FC Admira / Wacker . After the 1990 World Cup, Heinz Peischl also made his first appearances in the Austrian national team , but after the 0-1 win against the Faroe Islands on September 12, 1990, he was not granted a long team career. At the end of his career, he moved to the first division club FC Stahl Linz in 1992 , but soon returned to Innsbruck and was again ÖFB Cup winner in 1993. In the following years he was also active in Argentina ( CA San Lorenzo ), Liechtenstein ( FC Schaan ) and with the lower class club 1. Wiener Neustädter SC before he ended his active career at FC Tirol Innsbruck .
Coaching career
From 1995 to 1999 Heinz Peischl was co-coach and in 1997 briefly head coach of FC Tirol Innsbruck before moving to Switzerland in 2001 and becoming head coach of FC Wil . With the St. Gallen in 2001 he was master of the second-rate National League B and thus promotion to the National League A . In 2002 he switched to the first division club FC St. Gallen , where Heinz Peischl resigned in 2005 after a series of defeats. At the beginning of 2006 he replaced Urs Schönenberger, the successful coach of FC Thun in the Swiss football league. On March 6, 2007, Heinz Peischl was dismissed as FC Thun coach due to "missing results" (4 points in 4 second round matches).
From December 2007 to summer 2008, Heinz Peischl looked after the ASK Schwadorf in the second highest Austrian division. Between March 2009 and December 2010, Heinz Peischl was alongside Manfred Zsak assistant to Dietmar Constantini in the Austrian national soccer team.
In December 2010 Peischl went back to Switzerland. He was hired as the sports director of FC St. Gallen .
