Lü Bin ( Chinese 呂斌 , Pinyin Lǚ Bīn ; * 1994 ) is a Chinese boxer at light flyweight (up to 49 kg).
Career
Lü started boxing at the age of 12. At 13 he had his first fight.
After Lü won 2nd place in the national championships in 2012, he became a member of the national team and was able to participate in an international tournament in Ordos , where he also took second place. In the same year he started at the U-19 World Championships in Yerevan and was world light flyweight champion.
Lü won a bronze medal at the 2013 Asian Championships in Amman , but retired from the World Championships in Almaty that same year after losing to Mohamed Flissi , Tunisia (2-1) in the last sixteen . He was also eliminated early at the Asian Games the following year.
World Series of Boxing
In the 2013/2014 season Lü started knockouts for the USA in the World Series of Boxing . He played two fights, one of which he won.
AIBA Pro Boxing
Since November 2014, Lü Bin has started in the newly founded professional area "APB" of the IOC recognized world association AIBA. In the first cycle Lu Bin was two fights against Birschan Schaqypow ( Kazakhstan ) and Mark Anthony Barriga ( Philippines win) and lost to Wu Zhonglin ( PRC ) and was thus on 5 February 2015 finale of "APB" in the light flyweight in Hong Kong against Zhonglin Wu. He won this fight 79:73, 79:73 and 78:74. Lü thus qualified for the Olympic Games in Rio de Janeiro .
