Lubentius
Lubentius (* around 300; † around 370 in Kobern / Mosel ) is a saint of the Catholic Church.
Life
Lubentius was ordained a priest by the Trier bishop Maximin and sent to Kobern on the Moselle as a pastor . He is said to have been a pupil of Martin von Tours . According to the Gesta Treverorum from the 12th century , Lubentius is said to have evangelized along the Lahn .
Adoration
The body of St. Lubentius is venerated in Dietkirchen , a district of Limburg an der Lahn in the collegiate church of St. Lubentius , where his body is said to have miraculously ended up.
Further relics can be found in Kell , Kobern , Lahnstein , Limburg and Trier.
Patronage
Lubentius is the patron saint of the Lahn boatmen.
