Luboš Račanský (born March 13, 1964 in Benešov ) is a former Czech sports shooter .
successes
Luboš Račanský, who was active for Dukla Prague, took part in three Olympic Games . In 1988 , he took twelfth place in the competition on the running target over 50 m in Seoul . At the 1992 Olympic Games in Barcelona he qualified with 576 points in the competition on the running target over the 10-meter distance in sixth place for the final. In this he achieved the best result of all six finalists with 94 points and moved to third place behind Michael Jakosits and Anatoli Asrabajew with 670 total pointsso that he won the bronze medal. In his third participation, then for the Czech Republic, he finished the competition in Atlanta in 1996 in 13th place.
At world championships , Račanský secured a total of 22 medals between 1986 and 2009. He was world champion twelve times: 1986 in Suhl and 1991 in Stavanger he was victorious in the discipline running disc in individual, in between he won the title in 1987 in Budapest in the team competition on running disc. In 1994 he won titles in the individual running of the running boar in Milan as well as in the associated team competition and the team competitions of the running target and the running target mix. Four years later, he repeated winning the gold medal in the team mix competition of the running disc in Barcelona. He also won his other four world championship titles with the team: in 2002 in Lahti and in 2008 in Pilsen he was first in the running boar in the mixed run, in 2006 in Zagreb and also in 2008 in Pilsen he finished the competition in the running boar in the normal run on the first place. In addition, Račanský won seven silver and three bronze medals. He was European champion five times in various individual disciplines.
Račanský is married and has three children.
