Luca Olivieri

Luca Olivieri (born August 12, 1962 in Verona ) is an Italian guitarist and singer.

Live and act

Olivieri began training in classical guitar and singing at the age of eight. He soon discovered his enthusiasm for rock 'n' roll , especially the music of Elvis Presley . In the 1980s he took over the technique of fingerpicking from guitarists such as Scotty More , Duck Backer and Stefan Grossman and switched to the electric guitar under the impression of James Burton . He eventually got into country music under the influence of Albert Lee , Brent Mason , Vince Gill and Brad Paisley .

In 1997 Pierpaolo Adda invited him to the Soave Guitar Festival , where he accompanied Albert Lee . In the following years he worked with musicians such as Johnny Hiland , Jerry Donahue , Tommy Emmanuel and John Jorgenson . James Burton invited him to the United States, where he appeared in Nashville and Memphis with the original band by Elvis Presley. Also at the invitation of Burton, he took part in the Shreveport Festival in 2007, and in 2010 he performed with Burton at the Summer Jamboree Festival . More recently, Olivieri has been working regularly with Bobby Solo . He appeared with him in numerous shows in Europe, Canada and the USA and on television.
