Lucia Wald (born October 1, 1923 in Iași ; † August 15, 2018 in Bucharest ) was a Romanian linguist , Latinist and Romance scholar .

life and work

Lucia Wald, who came from a Jewish family, went to school in Rădăuți . She studied Classical Philology and General Linguistics at the University of Bucharest . Her teacher was Alexandru Graur . She was a professor at the University of Bucharest.
