Lucio Rosato

Lucio Rosato (born January 21, 1940 ) is an Italian actor .

Life

Rosato graduated from the Accademia Nazionale d'Arte Drammatica “Silvio D'Amico” in 1964 and initially played stage roles in the ensembles of Paolo Poli and Mario Scaccia . In 1966 the film noticed him; in the classic Navajo Joe he played the role of the antagonist , which he did again and again in the following years, initially almost exclusively in spaghetti westerns . From the mid-1970s, other films followed in other genres, often directed by Sergio Corbucci ; he also played several of his 30+ film and television roles for Ruggero Deodato . During his entire career he appeared in parallel to these works in the theater, where he found Gabriele Lavia, a long-time accompanying director.

Since the turn of the millennium Rosato has directed the small theater Gianni Santuccio in Rome, where he also directs .
