After returning from an assignment, the two men, who are also friends, decide to ask Mercedes for a decision; their choice falls on Roy Dexter.

However, Dexter has to leave the fort soon after to secure a gold transport. Barry promises to take care of Mercedes. When the gold is stolen and the soldiers are attacked, Roy is wounded. After his return and recovery, he prepares the wedding with Mercedes, but he is accused of collaborating with the bandits.

Roy can break out of prison after being convicted and return to the city under a false name. He infiltrated the band of bandits and, with the support of Colonel Jackson, who believed in his innocence, was able to expose the head behind the bandit group: It was Barry.

criticism

"A good Robert Woods who has to fight against all difficulties in an action-packed plot peppered with numerous well-known Western faces", says Tom Betts in the oldest fanzine on the genre, Westernsallitaliana.

Remarks

In the film leader is Angelo Francesco Lavagnino called as a composer; the booklet for the CD release of the soundtrack corrects this. In Italy the film was released as 4 dollari di vendetta .

The soundtrack was released on CD; the song heard in the film is called "Let him go".
