biography
Lucy Spraggan is originally from Buxton , Derbyshire , but lives as a musician in Sheffield. Even before she applied for the casting show , she had produced her own album, Top Room at the Zoo, on her own. With her self-written song Last Night , she successfully applied for The X Factor in the spring . Even before the live shows began, both the single and the album hit the UK charts when the auditions were shown on television. Then she survived the first three rounds of the show, but then had to give up prematurely due to illness.
In March 2013 she signed a recording deal with Columbia Records and prepared to release her second album, Join the Club . It was released in October of the same year and entered the UK charts at number seven . The re-released song Last Night also entered the top 20 of the single charts.
