Ludger Aegidius Schulte

Ludger Egidius Schulte OFMCap (born January 30, 1963 in Büren ) is a German theologian .

Life

Schulte grew up with four brothers and a sister on his parents' farm in Büren-Barkhausen . After graduating from high school in 1983 at the Jesuit College St. Mauritius in Büren, he entered the Rhenish-Westphalian Capuchin Province in 1983 and studied philosophy and theology in Münster , Munich and Freiburg im Breisgau from 1984 to 1989 . He was also trained in developmental and religious psychology. In 1989 he made his perpetual profession , and in 1990 he was ordained priest in Münster . Since 1990 he has been in the Spiritual Center for Faith Renewal and Evangelization in the Archdiocese of FreiburgSasbach and from October 1990 to 1992 at the same time as chaplain in St. Bonifaz (Mainz) .

From 1993 to 1997 Ludger Egidius Schulte received his doctorate in cath. Theology at the Albert-Ludwigs-Universität Freiburg in the dogmatics department with Peter Walter . From 1997 to 2001 he worked in the city pastoral care in Frankfurt a. M. and was at the same time spiritual of the seminary of the diocese of Limburg . From 2001 to 2004 he was a member of the provincial leadership of the Rhenish-Westphalian Capuchin Province. As a lecturer for dogmatics, he worked from 1997 to 2001 at the Philosophical-Theological University of Münster (PTH) Münster . In Münster from 2001 to 2009 he was a trainer and companion ( Magister ) of the young confreres before the perpetual profession, in addition to an extensive activity as a spiritual guide and retreat leader as well as trainer of formation leaders . From 2002 to 2006 he was a lecturer, since 2006 he has been professor of dogmatics and the history of dogma at the PTH Münster and has been the rector of this university since the 2014 winter semester .

From 2003 to 2014, Ludger Egidius Schulte was chairman of AG VI Catechetical Texts of the sub-commission for the new praise of God (GGB) in the liturgy commission of the German Bishops' Conference .
