Ludwig Benkert (born December 10, 1929 in Wollbach ; † November 1, 2012 Bad Neustadt ) was a German senior university director , local history researcher , city ​​archivist and author.

Life

Ludwig Benkert was born on December 10, 1929 in Wollbach (Lower Franconia). In 1950 he passed his Abitur at the secondary school in Bad Neustadt. In 1961 he received his doctorate in history and folklore. From 1957 he was a teacher in Neustadt an der Aisch . He later switched to the Bad Neustadt grammar school. From 1973 he headed the Bad Neustadt city archive . In 1985 he published an extensive city ​​chronicle . Benkert died on November 1, 2012.
