Ludwig Fellermaier (born July 2, 1930 in Vienna , † March 11, 1996 in Ravensburg ) was a German politician ( SPD ).

Life and work

After attending elementary and high school, Fellermaier completed an apprenticeship in the wholesale trade and worked from 1949 to 1953 as an editor for the Schwäbische Donau Zeitung in Ulm . He then switched to the automotive industry, initially working as a car salesman and later as an advertising manager. He also acted as Vice President of the Southeast Europe Society .

Political party

Fellermaier joined the SPD in 1947, joined the Young Socialists and became deputy chairman of the Young Socialists in southern Bavaria . He was also chairman of the SPD sub-district of Southern Swabia and a member of the board of the Bavarian State Association of Social Democrats.

MP

Fellermaier was a council member of the city ​​of Neu-Ulm from 1960 to 1966 . He was a member of the German Bundestag from 1965 to 1980. He was always drawn into parliament via the Bavarian state list. From 1968 to 1989 he was a member of the European Parliament . Here he was from 1975 to July 1979 chairman of the social democratic-socialist parliamentary group.
