Ludwig Gottfried Klein

Ludwig Gottfried Klein (born January 31, 1716 in Sindringen , † June 20, 1756 in Erbach (Odenwald) ) was a German physician and councilor and personal physician of the Counts of Erbach .

Life

Ludwig Gottfried Klein studied philosophy and medicine at the universities in Jena and Strasbourg and in 1738, after receiving his doctorate, became a physician in Erbach. In 1743 Klein was appointed personal physician to the Counts of Erbach. In addition to his medical work, he dealt with medical, scientific and cultural-historical research. Klein was a close companion and friend of Count Georg Wilhelm von Erbach (1731–1757), whom he accompanied on numerous trips.

On September 8, 1752, Ludwig Gottfried Klein with the academic surname Ctesias II. Was accepted as a member ( matriculation no. 577 ) of the Leopoldina Scholars' Academy .
