Ludwig Gottlob von Kalckreuth
Ludwig Gottlob von Kalckreuth (* 1714 ; † March 20, 1783 in Lankwitz ) was a royal Prussian major general and chief of infantry regiment No. 1 and governor of Spandau .
Life
His family is also from Silesia and began his career in Regiment No. 25 (limestone). There he became staff captain in 1750. He was wounded in the Battle of Zorndorf in 1758 in the Seven Years' War . In May 1759 he became major and in May 1767 lieutenant colonel and commander of the regiment. In 1770 he became a colonel in Regiment No. 25 Prince Ferdinand. He received the post of governor on December 19, 1774. In April 1778 he took over Infantry Regiment No. 1 (Bandemer), but on April 28, 1778 he said goodbye, as he was wounded because of his sickness Zorndorf - could no longer take part in the War of the Bavarian Succession .
After his release he retired to an estate near Lankwitz. But it burned down in 1781, so he sold it and wanted to settle in Cottbus . But he died on March 20, 1783 in Lankwitz.
family
He was married to Karoline Beate Dorothea von Kalckreuth (* 1752; † May 26, 1837) since 1780 . Her father was Captain Friedrich Wilhelm von Kalckreuth . After the major general's death, she received a pension from the king.
The widow married on August 18, 1785 in Seeläsgen Friedrich Adolf Erdmann von Winning (* March 27, 1748, † February 27, 1829), later a captain in the 24th Infantry Regiment and a master at Schönwalde.
