Ludwig Hagemann (theologian)

Ludwig Hagemann (born December 28, 1947 in Niederlangen ) is a German religious scholar and Catholic theologian .

Life

Hagemann studied philosophy , theology and religious studies with a focus on Islamic studies in Frankfurt am Main , Tübingen , Münster , Beirut , Cairo and Tunis . In 1975 Hagemann obtained his doctorate in theology and qualified as a professor in 1982. He was professor at the University of Koblenz from 1984 to 1988 and from 1988 to 1992 at the Catholic theological faculty of the University of Würzburg . Since April 1992 he has been full professor for systematic theology and the history of religion at the University of Mannheim .

Hagemann is a member of the scientific advisory board of the Cusanus Society and a priest of the Osnabrück diocese .
