Ludwig Juppe
Ludwig Juppe or Jupan (* 1460 , † 1538 ) was a German sculptor of the Gothic , which especially in Marburg and Kalkar worked.
His most famous works include the family altar and the wing paintings in Marburg's Elisabeth Church . He also made five carved altars to decorate the Elizabeth Church. He limited himself to his work as a picture carver , while Johann von der Leyten, as a barrel painter, gave the carved things color.
A street in the Ortenberg district of Marburg is named after him.
