Ludwig Marbe

Ludwig August Marbe (born August 30, 1839 in Freiburg im Breisgau ; † November 21, 1907 there ) was a lawyer and member of the German Reichstag .

Life

Marbe attended 1848-1857 high school in Freiburg and the local University (1857-1861) and the University of Munich (1860/61) to law study. He practiced as a lawyer since 1869. In 1875 Marbe was accepted as an honorary member of the KDStV Hercynia Freiburg im Breisgau . He was also a city councilor from 1880 to 1886 and a city councilor. He was also a member of the general board of the People's Association for Catholic Germany .

From 1884 to 1887 and from 1890 to 1907 he was a member of the German Reichstag for the constituency of the Grand Duchy of Baden 5 ( Freiburg , Emmendingen and Waldkirch ) as a member of the German Center Party . He was a member of the Baden state parliament from 1871 to 1878 and from 1886 to 1894.

He was awarded the Knight's Cross of the Order of St. Gregory and the Cross of Honor " Pro Ecclesia et Pontifice ".
