Ludwig Martini

Ludwig Sebastian Martini (born January 21, 1805 in Biberach an der Riss ; † April 4, 1878 in Augsburg ) was a German surgeon.

Life

Ludwig Sebastian Martini was born as the son of the doctor Joseph Xaver Alexius Martini. His brothers Karl Martini , Eberhard Karl Martini , Ferdinand Martini and Clemens Martini also became famous. Martini was first taught by his father and then moved to the Eberhard Karls University of Tübingen . On May 22, 1823 he became a member of the Corps Allemannia. In the winter semester of 1823/24 he also joined the Corps Suevia II. There he received the doctoral degree and the surgical award in 1826. He spent the following two years in Vienna , where he attended lectures and also medical clinics. From then on, he held the position of hospital doctor and chief surgeon in his hometown for many years. He closed his doctor's practice in 1870 and moved to Augsburg because his relatives lived there. He died there two years after completing his fiftieth doctorate.
