Ludwig Nägele

Ludwig Jakob Nägele (born November 11, 1869 in Jux ; † November 2, 1950 in Nürtingen ) was a Württemberg governor and district administrator.

life and work

Ludwig Nägele was the son of an innkeeper. He studied law in Tübingen and became a member of the Palatina gymnastics club there in 1889. After taking the higher administrative service exams in 1893 and 1895, he joined the Württemberg internal administration on August 15, 1895. In 1901 he became a clerk at the Oberamt Balingen and in 1905 at the Oberamt Reutlingen . On June 15, 1918, he took up his first position as senior bailiff and board member at the Gerabronn senior department . In 1923 he was transferred to the Nürtingen regional office , and in 1928 his official title was changed to District Administrator. Since he did not want to become a member of the NSDAP , he had to apply for his early retirement on September 30, 1933 at the request of the Interior Ministry. From 1940 he was head and managing director of the Nürtingen Economic Office, until 1945 as an employee, then until 1947 on a voluntary basis.
