Ludwig Heinrich Philipp Polscher (born March 8, 1820 in Hohenlimburg , † October 17, 1909 in Unna ) was a German Protestant clergyman and President of the Westphalian Provincial Synod of the  Evangelical Church of Prussia .

Life

Ludwig Polscher was born as the son of the innkeeper Christian Polscher and his wife Maria Charlotte Bauer. From 1835 to 1841 he attended grammar school in Dortmund and, after graduating from high school , studied theology in Berlin , Halle and Bonn . After the theological exams he was first a teacher in Hohenlimburg, where he founded a boys' school himself.

His ordination and introduction as pastor in Lünern fell on February 11, 1852.

Elected part-time superintendent of the church district of Unna on November 12, 1862 , he held this office until 1900. On October 8, 1874, the election of President of the Westphalian Provincial Synod took place. He remained in this office until 1902. He retired on October 1, 1906.
