Ludwig Schöpf

Ludwig Schöpf (* July 5, 1843 in Pfaffenhausen ; † May 20, 1918 there ) was a wax puller, mayor and member of the German Reichstag .

Life

Schöpf attended elementary school and the district trade school in Augsburg . After completing his apprenticeship and assistant time, he founded his own business with a farm as a merchant and wax maker in 1869. From 1879 he was mayor of the market town of Pfaffenhausen.

From 1893 to 1898 he was a member of the German Reichstag for the Schwaben  5 constituency ( Kaufbeuren , Mindelheim , Oberdorf , Füssen ) and the German Center Party . Between 1893 and 1899 he was also a member of the Bavarian Chamber of Deputies .

Individual evidence

  1. The year of birth 1853 given in the official Reichstag handbook for the 9th legislative period is implausible because, according to the same entry, he would have ended his “apprenticeship and assistant time” at the age of 16.
