Ludwig Schleifer

Ludwig Schleifer (born December 31, 1931 in Otterbach , Kaiserslautern district , † December 23, 2000 in Zweibrücken ) was a German politician ( SPD ).

Life

After attending elementary school, high school and pedagogy in Kaiserslautern , Schleifer embarked on a career as a teacher. He went to the Pedagogical Academy in Kusel and Kaiserslautern from 1953 to 1955 , passed the second teacher examination in 1958 and received training as a special school teacher at the University of Mainz from 1959 to 1960 . From 1960 he worked as a special school teacher, from 1963 as a main teacher and head of a special school. From 1970 to 1975 he was the principal of a special school in Zweibrücken.

Schleifer had been a member of the GEW since 1955 and until 1975 deputy chairman of the GEW district association in Zweibrücken. In addition, he volunteered in the Zweibrücker Arbeiterwohlfahrt .

Schleifer was a board member of the SPD local association in Zweibrücken and a member of the district party committee of the Palatinate SPD. From 1972 he was a member of the city council of Zweibrücken and from 1974 chairman of the SPD parliamentary group. In the state elections in 1975 and 1979 he was elected to the state parliament of Rhineland-Palatinate , to which he belonged until 1983, from a list of the SPD . In the state parliament he was from 1975 to 1979 a member of the committee for agriculture, viticulture and the environment and from 1979 to 1983 a member of the interior committee.
