Ludwig von der Wense

Ernst Adolf Hermann Georg Ludwig von der Wense-Mörse (born December 16, 1863 in Celle ; † October 24, 1929 in Hanover ) was a German administrative officer, manor owner and member of parliament.

Ludwig von der Wense studied at the Ruprecht-Karls-Universität Heidelberg . In 1884 he became a member of the Corps Vandalia Heidelberg . After graduating, he entered the Prussian civil service. In 1900 he became district administrator of the Gifhorn district . In 1908 he was appointed governor of the province of Hanover . He held the office until 1925. He was the owner of the manors Mörse and Hattorf in the Gifhorn district, councilor and chamberlain .

From 1901 to 1920 Wense was a member of the Provincial Parliament of the Province of Hanover . From 1917 to 1918 he sat as a member of the constituency of Lüneburg 1 (Isenhagen, Gifhorn) in the Prussian House of Representatives , where he belonged to the conservative party . From 1921 to 1926 he was the representative of the Province of Hanover to the Reichsrat . During this time he belonged to the German-Hanover Party .
