The Luhrsen Nunatak is a nunatak in the East Antarctic Victoria Land . It rises 5 km south-southeast of Mount Alford at the southeast end of the Helliwell Hills in the Usarp Mountains .
The United States Geological Survey mapped it based on its own surveys and using aerial photographs of the United States Navy from 1960 to 1963. The Advisory Committee on Antarctic Names named it in 1970 after Richard H. Luhrsen, assistant to the representative of the United States Antarctic Research Program at McMurdo Station from 1967 to 1968.
