Luigi De Agostini (born April 7, 1961 in Udine ) is a former Italian football player .

During his playing career he was a defender .

Career

In the club

Luigi De Agostini began his career with his hometown club, Udinese Calcio , for whom he made his Serie A debut on March 23, 1980 in a 0-0 home game against SSC Napoli . Since he was rarely used, however, in order to gain experience as a regular player, he first moved to Trento Calcio in 1921 in Serie C1 and played for US Catanzaro in Serie A in the 1982/83 season .

In 1983 De Agostini returned to Udinese Calcio and became a regular player. The 1986/87 season he played for Hellas Verona , in the summer of 1987 he was signed by Juventus Turin . Luigi De Agostini played at Juve for five years, won the UEFA Cup and the Coppa Italia and was also a regular in the national team there . For the 1992/93 season De Agostini went to Inter Milan , in the summer of 1993 he moved to AC Reggiana , where he ended his active career in the summer of 1995.

Luigi De Agostini played a total of 378 Serie A games and scored 33 goals.

In the national team

Luigi De Agostini made his debut on May 28, 1985 under Azeglio Vicini at 0-0 in Norway for Italy .

He took part with the Azzurri at the 1988 European Championship in Germany , where he scored a goal in the game against Denmark , and at the 1990 World Cup in Italy , where the Italians took third place.

On September 25, 1991 De Agostini completed the game in Bulgaria, his last of a total of 36 international matches for Italy, in which he scored four goals.
