Luigi Luiggi
Luigi Luiggi (born August 3, 1856 in Genoa , † February 1, 1931 in Rome ) was a world-wide architect and senator of the Italian parliament.
life and work
Luigi Luiggi was internationally active as an engineer in the construction of city and port facilities. He pursued projects in Italy, Africa and South America. He headed the cabinet at the Ministry of Public Works from 1892 to 1893. In 1912, on behalf of the Italian government, he presented the plan for the urban development of Tripoli in Libya . In Argentina he was the planner and founder of Puerto Belgrano . In 1921 Luiggi was elected as a member of the Camera dei deputati in the constituency of Genoa for the 26th legislative period , and in September 1924 he was appointed senator .
